The Fire Core Dev Team, the developers behind Seas0npass spoke up again now via the official blog post about the status of the Apple TV 3 jailbreak their say. With its statement confirming the poor prospects for the jailbreak of the latest Apple TV box, which we told you already in some news.
Nevertheless confirmed the blog post that the Fire Core Dev Team is still working on the search for exploits. A Jailbreak Apple TV 3 is thus still in the works.
No one is more anxious than us to get the ATV 3 opened up to 3rd party apps, but due to the reasons mentioned above we're not able to provide any kind of release timeline right now.The fact is that one should opt for the current Apple TV 2 when buying the TV box (maybe for Christmas?) Plans. 3 bring the Apple TV "only" Full HD (1080p) support, a better processor and more RAM. The improved performance is, however, currently used by any third party apps.
While we tend to think of ourselves as pretty resourceful, the security related expertise that is required in order to release a jailbreak for iOS based devices like the ATV is just not in our wheel house, and we're simply left to encourage the few capable as best we can.Those who cannot do without aTV Flash (black), XMBC and Co. would be, by purchasing the Apple TV 3 So wait continues. A release for the Apple TV 3 Jailbreak is not foreseeable and definitely need several more months.

ReplyDeleteIt was a scam to get more sales for Apple, back in November it was published for the Jailbreak, that's a long enough time for peeps to go out and buy the AT3.

there are a lot more atv3 styled devices and better to use.
The AT3 alone is useless. I'm not a fan of Apples Ipods/phones etc, especially as they have you to use and be tied to their own software (iTunes). and that's poop itself. As i said, better devices are there, I have an android TV media box, and does a lot more than the AT3 offers.
Just my own opinion and what I think, so don't go flaming or whatever.
