As reported via Twitter by the famous hacker pod2g, Apple with the new version of its iPhone iOS 6.0 operating system has taken steps to close a loophole to jailbreak used for the past two years.
This is the exploit found by Comex and falling within the JailbreakMe tool, all this came after the Comex has left the hacking scene of IOS to land an internship through the court direct from Apple, now comes the closing of this flaw, it will be a mere coincidence or is just to indicate it was Comex?
The news was given by pod2g through Twitter, and the hacker known French member of the Chronic Dev Team, suggests that the closure of the exploit used in the past two years, may have been suggested by Comex just the same, that the exploit was found as the first jailbreak for the iPad 2. According pod2g and other hackers, why Apple has granted an internship at Comex is just to remove it from the general scene of IOS hacking, given the considerable skills and knowledge he had in that field.
But this is not just bad news, in fact quell'exploit which uses a kernel bug was unusable for a jailbreak to be released publicly, because it presupposes the availability of an account by the developer. There was therefore a great loss and hackers are already working to be able to have a new tool to jailbreak the new iPhone iOS 6.0 ready for when the final version of the firmware will be released.
