The flaw unveiled by David Vieira-Kurz Major Security concerns iOS 5 and 5.1. Safari supports javascript function window.open () so that it is possible for a malicious site, to display in the url bar of Safari a url which is not that the site visited. It's called, in geek lingo, spoofing the url.
Look at this url (it's safe!) ios 5 Think you're on apple.com? In fact you are at Major Security. Imagine, now, the same method used for the purpose of collecting personal information, like your precious Apple ID. A real fault, with a real risk.
Apple has been notified on 1 March, but has not corrected the vulnerability that the company still reported the existence, on March 20. The fix will not be long. Meanwhile, when you enter personal information on a web page, make sure you been there yourself, by entering the url, and not by a third link on a site that you do not know.
